A Valentine's Classic

Wearing: Chicwish dress, Nina Shoes heels.

I've actually never had a valentine, but that's okay, because I still like going all out and dressing up anyways! Red is my favorite color to wear, so I always take advantage of a good opportunity to wear it. This red Chicwish dress has pretty little butterfly details all over it, and the style and color is perfect for a classic Valentine's look.

Pale Blue with a Bow

Most larger dresses feel like they're completely swallowing my 5'3" frame, and while this big, well structured dress from Chi Chi Clothing has many layers of tulle lining, I did not feel that was the case at all this time. I'm such a sucker for a large dress, they are always sure to stand out and when I go to any event, standing out is my main goal! This dress will surely catch anyone's attention with it's classic shape and perfect shade of blue, but I can tell this dress will stay in style for years to come. It's also available in petite and curve sizes on Chi Chi's website which I love! Today I wore mine with some patent nude mules to match the nude bow on the dress and to keep the outfit looking light and feminine!

Here's a few more big and beautiful dresses that will leave you looking fabulous at any event, or may be your perfect find for your Valentine's Day date!

Leather and Sequins

It was one of my New Year's resolutions to start posting on my blog multiple times each week again, but old distractions found their way back into my life, and the Spring semester started back up, along with going to work almost every day. I've had such a creative itch the past two weeks but no time to get out the pen and paper or my camera to start expressing my artistic thoughts and ideas. However, I'm making it a point to get back to my old routine and to stop working as much and allow myself to get creative again. I've been faced with many new experiences in the months that I've taken a break from blogging. I've learned a lot through bad experiences, and in some ways I'm a different person now. I'm not going to go into detail about those experiences here at this moment, but they opened my eyes a lot and I think it's what I needed to get back on track and focus on my goals and what I want in life.

On to my outfit, today I'm pairing a sequined dress from PB&J Boutique with my leather jacket that I bought a while back from Forever 21 because they complement each other perfectly. You all know I can never stick to one style, but I have this love for a tasteful, edgy style that stays in the back of my mind always. I've been big into adding some edge to glam outfits lately, and this look is a great example of that. Besides, leather jackets are the best addition to any outfit, in my opinion.
