Dancing in the Street

Wearing: Forever 21 cardigan, Thrifted top, shoes + bag, Boohoo trousers, ZeroUV sunglasses.

These new sunglasses have me wanting to look so retro lately, so I decided to go with a 60s-inspired look on this warm Spring day! I've also been feeling very nautical colors, and have been so stuck on wearing many reds, whites, blues ans golds to achieve those nautical-vibes. I wish I would've had a white belt to wear with this outfit, but unfortunately the black was all I had to work with here, so it had to suffice. Besides that....definitely an outfit I'll re-visiting again this season!

Stylish Films: Funny Face

Audrey Hepburn is one of my favorite actresses, and my biggest role model. I love everything from her style and beauty, to her great life achievements as a humanitarian with UNICEF, and just generally what an amazing and caring person she was. I've seen almost every one of her films, and they're all fantastic, but one of my favorites that I want to talk about today is her 1957 film, Funny Face. The film is about an average girl working in a book store that gets turned into a model when offered a trip to Paris. It's such a cute movie, and there are so many great outfits in the film. And the film even starts out wonderfully with a song called "Think Pink", which I don't know why but I love so much.

I like to include screenshots from films when I do these "Stylish Film" posts, but it was a little difficult for this one since it's so old and the quality isn't quite the best, and there were no good screenshots of it on Google, so instead I found photos from the "photo shoots" that happened in the film. They're actually better photos anyway, so I'm completely okay with it! So many styles were covered in this movie, but I happened to notice the A-line or "fit-and-flare" style re-occurring throughout, which if I'm not mistaken was a trademark style of Audrey's, or at least seems like it because I've seen photos of her wearing many of them! Other lovely pieces were that gorgeous wedding dress in the wedding scene, her interesting hat at the train scene, her high-waisted cropped trousers in the fishing scene, and her black on black turtleneck, smoking slippers, and cropped skinny trousers from the dancing scene in the lounge, which strangely is probably the outfit that stuck in my mind the most. All such beautiful outfits, which was absolutely perfect for such a wonderful film! If you haven't seen it, you definitely need to!

Evening on the River

Wearing: Wal-G dress, AMI Clubwear sandals (buy here!), Thrifted hat + shirt.

I've been getting in lots of new cute clothes and shoes to wear for this spring and summer this past week, and I'm especially so in love with these darling red sandals from AMI Clubwear paired with this striped dress from Wal-G! I went to my little go-to pairing of a denim shirt tied over a dress this time, and of course, it never fails to add to an outfit. The colors and styles also felt very nautical, and it was quite a nice evening, so I decided to go to my favorite park by the river and shoot by the rocks. Not only is it a nice place to take photos, but it's also such a great atmosphere and place to be when the sun is setting on a windy afternoon! ♥

Pearls + Bows

Wearing: Thrifted blazer (similar), Papaya Clothing blouse (similar), PacSun Bullhead jeans (similar) Boohoo heels (similar), Vintage necklace (similar).

I just love an outfit that looks quite dressy but is paired with some jeans. I think it's a great look because not only is it stylish, but it's really comfy as well! I just paired my favorite pair of bullhead jeans with a blazer and a coral blouse for a good pop of color. Perfect look for going out with friends, running some errands, or anything else you might be doing during your day!

Rockabilly

Wearing: Thrifted t-shirt, Boohoo pinafore, vintage necklace, ZeroUV sunglasses (buy here!), Boohoo booties, thrifted Levi's jacket.

I have really been loving putting my hair up in poofy ponytails lately! My hair naturally doesn't have much volume at all and it more on the thin side, so it's hard to achieve a beehive, and my little poofy pony here is the closest thing I can get to it! I have also been rockin' my new ZeroUV glasses that I purchased about a week ago when I realized I really needed some new sunglasses, and preferably some in a cat eye style! For only $10 these sunglasses are super good quality also, which is really impressive, and now I'm definitely going to get some more! They really gave my outfit here a modern "rockabilly" vibe also which was definitely something different for my style! Hope everyone had a good weekend!

Glimmer and Glam

Wearing: Mara Vintage Shop dress, Rue 21 necklace, Nina heels (buy here!).

I've been enjoying this lovely spring break so far in lovely vintage dresses, like this gorgeous blue ruffle dress! I think the shape and the sleeves are so flattering, and that is probably the most beautiful shade of blue! I am so in love with how the dress is so simple, yet the ruffles in it and the low v-cut just add so much detail without being too much. You can also pair it with so many different things, but I decided to go for a more glam look with a gem statement necklace and these adorable little studded heels from Nina.

Seventeen x Keds Bravehearts Campaign

Back in November I went to NYC for a few days to do a shoot with Keds x Seventeen for their SS14 Bravehearts campaign! My ad for it is now in the April issue of Seventeen which is on stands now, and I'm so excited to be able to finally share this with you all! I did a little behind the scenes video with them as well, which is below. I had such a fun time getting to go to the city of my dreams and do this, and all on my birthday too! I truly feel blessed but I wouldn't have been able to do any of this if it weren't for you all who have been reading my blog and supporting it, so thank you! ♥

Boho Florals

Wearing PB&J Boutique dress (buy here!), Thrifted cardigan, Modcloth sandals (buy here!), Forever 21 hat + necklace.

Spring is pretty much here and so I'm making my annual transformation into my inner bohemian princess, haha! When warm weather comes around, I always want to wear airy and loose clothing, and that pretty much sums up every bohemian-styled piece. I have gotten yet another perfect dress from PB&J Boutique which is this lovely floral dress, and I love everything about it, from the colors to the awesome side pockets. I am just looking forward to many days in sandals, light knits and maxis, and the feeling of my hair in the warm breeze! Can summer be here already?!

Modern Throwback

Wearing: Thrifted top, Sammydress skirt (buy here!), Thrifted belt, Priceless heels, Vintage Gucci watch, Banggood clutch.

I was feeling very 80s and more specifically Carrie Diaries inspired today when I went out in this florescent pink skirt and wide black belt with my polka dot top, which was definitely a good feeling! I love The Carrie Diaries so much and Carrie's style on the show, so I'm always trying to re-create the outfits and put together outfits that look like they'd fit in perfectly. I think I like the outfit better without the pantyhose also, but it was cooler out so they were a good idea at the time!

March Inspiration ♥

March is finally here, which to me, means Spring is here! While the new season officially starts on the 20th, I am just too anxious to wait until then, and I just wanna switch out all of my winter stuff for my spring stuff right now! Unfortunately, it's still a bit cold, so I guess I'll just have to wait until the weather warms up for good. Until then, I look to Pinterest to give me beautiful springtime photos that will keep me inspired and wanting this lovely season to hurry up and be here already. Here are some of my favorite Spring-y photos!
