Sophisticated Statements

Wearing: Chi Chi London blazer, Hybrid faux leather dress, Wolford pantyhose, Thrifted heels, vintage Gucci bag, Michael Kors watch, Coco & Marie NY state necklace.

I'm officially ready for Christmas and my style is starting to say the same. I've been really loving classic pieces again, like this gorgeous pair of seam back pantyhose from Wolford. They are perfect for a sophisticated and subtly sexy look, and look especially classy when paired with a LBD!

As for my blazer from Chi Chi London, it was very cute on the website and I love the patterns, but unfortunately it just was a little roomy on me and not very well structured. Maybe I'm very picky for it, but when I wear blazers I like them to have a good structure, almost slightly stiff, never cardigan-like and thin. The dress I wore it with, this faux leather dress from Hybrid, was another unfortunate piece for me. It is so cute and I felt fabulous in it, but it was very loud (due to the lining underneath) and it had an awful smell. I think it's only fair that from my experience lately I warn you all to not buy faux leather online! It's most of the time very cheaply made (well, if you are on a budget like me and buy cheap clothes it will probably be cheaply made) and it will have a garbage-bag texture mixed with the smell of fish. It's disgusting, I know. This dress I had to spray down and hang outside to air out for a few weeks, and it was okay after that, but I've got other items that I've gotten recently that still smell disgusting. So, just thought I would be honest and put that out there for you all. I wore all of these things in my outfit though because I thought I'd at least give them a shot since they were cute, but there are so many other problems going on with them that it doesn't matter how cute they are.

Anyways, hope you all have a great week! :)

Monochrome Ombre

Wearing: Blue Vanilla sweater dress, Vienne Milano hosiery, H&M thigh high boots (sold out, these are similar).

I am not particularly fond with the location of these pictures, but I wore this to work and had to quickly photograph it that day! I've been so obsessed with sweater dresses but I usually tend not to get them because they aren't very flattering on me, but I just couldn't help but fall in love with this monochrome grid ombre sweater dress from Blue Vanilla! Paired it with my H&M thigh high boots that I just can't seem to take off lately and my favorite pair of thigh highs from Vienne Milano.

Wildest Dreams

Wearing: Forever 21 blouse, Avenle plaid blazer, Shabby Apple polka dot tulle skirt, T-Shirt + Jeans bag, Forever 21 hat, Target tights, Vintage Stuart Weitzman heels.

It's been a while since I've actually really gotten dressed up, usually with school and work I don't really have time to put on what I actually want to wear, but rather I have to think simple about my outfits. Today I wanted to dress my true style, so I layered up in this colorful little outfit! I personally love how there is so much going on, but it's not too much. I've got everything from tulle, to polka dots, to plaid, with a big hat and brightly colored tights thrown in as well! I'm so obsessed with this skirt from Shabby Apple, and I especially love it with this plaid blazer from Avenle. Together, they're the perfect mix of menswear-inspired and girly!

Casual Monday

Wearing: O'neill Women's "Brett" top, Others Follow utility jacket, East & Lo x Flying Monkey dark vintage slim boyfriend jeans, Elise M Collection druzy stone bracelets, Target booties (old), Forever 21 bag + hat (old).

This morning I had to go to my 9:00 am class, and then after straight to work, so of course I slept in as late as possible, with about 30 minutes to get ready. I didn't touch my hair, kept my makeup to a minimum, and it was cold so I wanted to put a cute and comfy outfit together that would be perfect for class. I threw on my new top from O'neill which is so cozy and boho, along with my new favorite jeans from Flying Monkey via East & Lo. These slim boyfrend jeans are cuffed at the bottom, and they have the perfect slightly baggy fit. I threw on my new utility jacket from Others Follow, grabbed my go-to booties, hat and bag, and I was out! For some last minute detailing, I layered some colorful druzy stone bracelets from Elise M Collection along with a vintage bangle. I felt very casual (and I was super sleepy if you can't tell from the photos lol!) yet still looked like I was ready to take on the day!

Classic Pieces + Quirky Prints

Wearing: Olive Clothes cat cardigan and fit-and-flare skirt, Target heels (old), Vienne Milano hosiery, Forever 21 hat (old).

The boutique I work for, Olive Clothes, has so many adorable clothes that I just love, like this super cute cat cardigan, and this lovely red pleated fit-and-flare skirt! I felt very "me" in this outfit, so I just had to buy these lovely clothes! Olive was a boutique in Jacksonville, but just last week they closed and launched their online boutique, where they'll be selling clothes and accessories from now on. They sell for women and teens, varying from many different designers, and many styles as well. Whether you've got a classic, bohemian, modern, or quirky style, there are so many options for everything! They've got so many cute scarves, cardigans, and other different items for fall...I'm tellin' ya it's getting real hard to go to work anymore when I'm surrounded by so many lovely clothes that I want to buy! I also did a little bit of modeling for their site as well, so you all can go check that out here as well! I will admit, I'm also modeling some pretty cute clothes and accessories, like this skirt and sweater, so you all will probably want to do some major shopping! ;)

Review: October Favorites

Lately I've been asked if I wanted to review some items other than clothes, and while I of course wanted to, I didn't know how to incorporate it into my blog, so for the month of October I put together a little review post! All of these items are courtesy of, and my personal reviews about everything in this post are completely honest!

1. Redken Body Full Shampoo + Conditioner

This shampoo came from the lovely people over at Hairtrade.com, and I'm going to go ahead and say that this shampoo you can't buy anywhere, and Hairtrade has the best deals on this more pricey shampoo, so I recommend purchasing it from them if you're in the UK! It may not look like it from my photos, but I have thin and flat hair, and I guess that's why I curl it and hairspray it to death almost daily. Keeping my hair all one length and very long helps in making it look fuller for me, but that still doesn't help much. I thought I'd give this shampoo + conditioner from Redken a shot, and although I wasn't expecting much of a difference from it, it really did wonders on my hair. I wash my hair daily also, and I know that isn't good for your hair but I use hairspray everyday and it's a gross sight the next day when I sleep on my hair-sprayed curls, so yes I do wash it daily! But this shampoo + conditioner made my hair feel a lot thicker, and I could wear my hair natural (it's naturally messy-straight) just fine without adding any product for volume. I just bought 2 big 33 oz bottles of this shampoo, and I have no regrets about the price because it is so good, and if you're in the same situation as me, Redken is a great brand and this product is especially amazing, so I recommend you get your hands on some also!

2. On The Dot The Perfect Spot

No girl likes thinking about that time of the month, but it's something we all have to deal with, so I think it's important that we give our best efforts to make it as pleasant as we possibly can, lol! For me, that's been this cute little dispenser called On The Dot The Perfect Spot. It's so compact and comes in three different designs, and I just loved this red and black one! Instead of having tampon and pad/liner boxes or bags laying around, you can just get one of these discreet little dispensers to stick in your bathroom! It's so small and cute, but it really holds so much inside! When you pull the little butterfly at the top, the compartments pull out, which consists of a top compartment for tampons, and the bottom section which is best for pads and liners. Also, this adorable little organizer makes the perfect gift for any gal pal - it may seem like a weird thing to give someone, but it's not. I promise. She'll love you so much for it! It's so organized, simple, cute, and most importantly, inexpensive!

3. Glam Screen Mirrored Screen Protector

The Glam Screen by Jonathan Cheban is such an awesome alternative to just a regular screen protector, it's a screen protector that doubles as a mirror! In my opinion it's such a necessary thing for every girl to have on her phone, because we all need to look in the mirror every once in a while right? Its also way better than carrying around a compact mirror, because it's on your phone! We all can admit that we have our phones with us at all times, so it's really handy and protects your screen as well! The selfie ring is also such a neat little addition for your phone, as you can just put your fingers right in there and it helps with keeping your phone in your hand and extending your phone just a little further, rather than having a super tight shot of just your face. I don't know about anyone else but that's what I dislike about selfies sometimes! Both of these items are inexpensive and are great as gifts as well!

4. Influenster Dean's List VoxBox

Okay, so this wasn't necessarily personally "gifted" to me, but given through Influenster. Firstly, if you love trying new products and you're on social media, you need to go sign up for Influenster. It's a fun site where you can connect your social media accounts and blogs/vlogs, and you can sign up to review products, and once you review them, you submit them on the site to get points! I signed up and got this Dean's List VoxBox here, and I was so happy and surprised at the items I got in it! Everything that was in my box are useful in my daily life and things I'd want to try, so I'm excited! It also came with some really delicious airheads bites, but I already ate them (oops!), but in my opinion they were way better than regular airheads, that candy is usually just too chewy and soft for me. Anyways, I will note that I was pleasantly shocked to see that they got my foundation color spot on, it matched my skin perfectly and it's a full size tube so that's so exciting, as foundation can get pricey! Very happy with all the products here, and the Influenster site as a whole!

Feelin' Mod

Wearing: Blue Vanilla dress, Target tights, Vintage Stuart Weitzman loafer heels, Vintage Louis Vuitton via Mara Vintage Shop, Vintage earrings, Assorted rings, Michael Kors watch.

Today's fall weather called for a cute dress and colored tights, so I wore this lovely printed and colored dress from Blue Vanilla. Any fitted dress with a white color makes me think of very mod, 60s styles, and while these types of dresses have been trendy for a while now, I've only just now started to really love them. I guess it's just that I didn't think they'd flatter my figure, since I feel that I'm a bit more on the curvier side for my height and I don't have a super flat stomach, so I've always just passed on them, along with every other fitted dress. But the print on this dress along with the colors and the gem details on the collar were just too good pass up, so I figured I'd try it, and if I hated it I'd just never wear it again. While I've got a bit of body confidence issues and hated seeing every curve of my body in this dress, I wore it with confidence, and got plenty of compliments in it! I tried my best to make it mod with some oxblood patent heeled loafers that I found vintage from Stuart Weitzman and my favorite mustard tights, and it's been one of my favorite outfits so far that I've worn for the fall season! ♥
