You See Your Gypsy

Cleopatra-meets-Woodstock is exactly how I felt today in this outfit. A great feeling without a doubt, there's very seldom a time where I am equally as happy with my outfit, hair, and makeup. One's always better than the other, but not with this look. I was comfortable too- in these Forever 21 sandals which I am wearing once again, but are now unfortunately sold out.

There's something about a white dress or top with beautiful colorful embroidery on it that draws my attention. This white embroidered gauzy dress from Savoir-Faire is completely perfect in my book, and of all the boho dresses I've somehow already accumulated this season, this one is on the top of my list! I think I re-wore it the two days after wearing it here... I just wanted the whole town to see it's beauty! I really went overboard with the jewelry here too, with my lovely head chain from Forever 21, gorgeous beaded earrings from Nashelle, and my moon crescent necklace from Rachael Ryen that is chic, dainty, and gives any outfit a slightly witchy vibe.

Sweet Cherry Red

I don't know about you all, but ever since last summer, I can't get enough of the fruity prints! I want fruit prints on everything - my shoes, bags, dresses, everything! Since we have already started summer here in Florida, I'm already hopping on board for one of my favorite summer trends and I'm adding so many fruit prints to my wardrobe, starting with this gorgeous Chicwish dress!

A cherry print mixed with a vintage-inspired dress silhouette just makes for the ultimate southern summer frock which is why I love this dress so well. I plan to wear it with white lace-up sneakers for days involving a bit of walking, but for today I just had to wear it with my favorite red heels from Call It Spring and my little old thrifted straw bag!

---

Can't get enough of the fruity prints either? Check out these other fruit favorites of mine that will look cute all summer long:

1. This cherry printed frock is perfect for summer picnics!
2. Kick around town in these adorable watermelon print sneakers!
3. A pineapple pullover like this one looks so cute with white cutoffs!
4. Both look and feel fresh and light in this lemon print romper!
5. Be comfy and stylish in these cherry pajamas - too cute!

Vintage-Inspired With A Modern Aesthetic

These days, it seems that I've been shying away from fit-and-flare skirts and shorter heels. No reasoning behind it of course, but considering it's all I wore throughout last year, I've just been exploring different, more sophisticated styles... and wearing many bohemian looks, of course. I felt that it was time to revisit my past love of fit-and-flares when I came across this darling skirt from Chicwish.

Gingham skirts have a sort-of vintage and southern look about them that I can't help but love so much. I just want to run around all summer in this lovely skirt, whether it be for a road trip out into the countryside or just picnicking with my best gals. This piece can be styled so many ways, but for this outfit I wanted to mix modern with vintage.

I wore my thrifted saddle heels for the first time with this skirt for a vintage-inspired style, but kept on my thick black sunglasses and trendy mock neck crop top for a fun and modern aesthetic.

Wearing: Aeropostale crop top, Chicwish gingham skirt, Thrifted saddle heels, ZeroUV sunglasses, Coco & Marie necklace + earrings, Michael Kors watch, Alex & Ani bracelets, Nila Anthony via Handbag Heaven bag.

---

Gingham skirts are the ultimate skirt-staple to have this summer! Here are some more of my favorites from this cute vintage-inspired trend, all under $75:

1. This classic knee-length skirt is perfect for the vintage lovin' gal.
2. Look Parisian picnic-chic in this darling red and white gingham skirt.
3. Blue gingham skirts are stylishly fresh and light for hot summer days!
4. Don't like the fit-and-flare style? Opt for this gingham pencil skirt style!
5. If you can't get enough of gingham, then this matching co-ord is for you!

Skinny Teatox: Teatox Beginner Tips + My Review

If you're like me, you will agree that the Skinny Teatox is something you've wanted to try but maybe haven't, because like me, you can't commit to a 100% clean diet or you hate most teas (coffee please!). Unless it's a good ol' southern iced sweet tea or an iced chai tea latte with caramel drizzle from Starbucks, you can count me out. However, with my newly busy schedule with very little time for personal, I have decided to try a 14-day Skinny Teatox in efforts to somewhat keep myself in shape.

If you haven't heard of it, Skinny Teatox is a weight loss tea that comes with morning tea which is loose leaf, and evening tea which is in bags. Skinny Teatox is 100% natural and it's the #1 teatox in North America! It's a vegan product that is free of gluten, GMOs, and nuts, and there are no chemicals or preseratives in it at all. This teatox is perfect for you if you're looking to lose weight, burn calories, boost your metabolism, cleanse or detoxify, suppress your appetite, or increase your energy. If you're unsure of which package to get out of the 7-day, 14-day or 28-day, I'd recommend trying the 14-day teatox in order to experience the full effect of the teatox!

MY REVIEW:

I am not done with the 14-day teatox yet, so I do not have any before/after photos or anything. I am 9 days in and I do feel lighter, and I'm not saying that I've magically lost a certain # of pounds in only these 9 days, but just that I feel more energetic and less blah from the gross foods I was previously eating before the teatox. I'm not eating only fruits/vegetables, but I am a vegetarian (and sometimes pescetarian when I go out), so I'm keeping it pretty clean for the most part, and giving up the fattening foods that I do eat pretty frequently like chips. I haven't had much time to run either, but I do when I can, which is usually only twice a week, but I'm trying to make more time for it now while I'm doing this teatox. I think it's most important to focus on your wellness and how you feel rather than the number you see on a scale, but they've both have been pleasing for me so far.

TIPS FOR YOUR TEATOX:

Cut out most of your guilty indulgences and focus on clean eating / exercising. The teatox will suppress your hunger anyways so you will not feel as many urges to reach for the ice cream!

Try taking vitamin supplements with your teatox. I take 1 vitamin each of Iron, Vitamin C, B-12, and E each day. While vitamins are already good to take and make a habit of taking, they will definitely help the effects of your teatox.

Cut back on processed and frozen foods. This goes without saying, but processed and frozen foods are so terrible for you! I am guilty myself of being a fan of frozen vegetarian foods, but it's so important that you switch out frozen and processed foods and in place eat fresh fruits and vegetables. You wouldn't believe the amount of yummy and clean recipes there are on the internet! Here's a few of my favorite:

Happy Teatoxing! :)

Summer Saturday Style

This summer, my Saturdays are best-spent outside at the beach. I want to stay comfortable and lightly cover up whenever I'm not walking through the sand, but I just can't deal with the struggle of putting on and taking off shorts and a top. Yes, I'm only on the beach, but I still want to look chic and fashionable just as I would every other day.

I have a growing obsession for kaftans, they are such a glam option for summer beach style and they have an amazing structure that gives them a bit of boho flair. I want to wear them even when I'm not on the beach, and I've already considered throwing on a slip and throwing over this Forever Unique kaftan for days when I'm just running around town on these hot Florida days.

This beautiful blue and gold kaftan is everything I could want in a beach cover up! As you all may know I do have a love for blue and gold together, and the gold detailing on this kaftan just adds on a whole new level of glam. I can already see myself wearing it all summer long, no matter if I'm on the beach or not!

3. This kaftan is perfect for a simply clean + boho beachy style!
4. Longline kaftans are great for showing off your inner summer goddess!
5. The black and white aztec print on this bold kaftan is to die for!

A Romantic Escape

Oh boy, does this outfit make me feel like Esmerelda! It obviously doesn't look exactly like her outfit, but I my top and flowing maxi skirt resemble her outfit, and the accentuating banding around the waist of this skirt really gives it some extra detailing! I am just a big Disney geek so deep down I feel so good about my outfit resembling that of such a fabulous Disney character! Haha!

This white off-the-shoulder from Target has just become one of my favorite pieces in my closet lately, because I just keep finding more and more ways to wear it! I know, I know, I've already verbally expressed my obsession with this top in a previous post, but that's just how much I love it, I can't stop talking about it! Today, I paired it with my new maxi skirt from Kersh, which I'm absolutely crazy about as well! What's so great about this skirt is that it can also be a maxi dress, which you can see on this Instagram pic when I wore it to Disney a few weeks ago. It's all around a very beautiful skirt and very flattering as well.

With this outfit, I wore my brown lace-up sandals again, because they (yet again) looked perfect with my outfit! I wore all gold jewelry and used this opportunity to wear my amazing gold Dolce & Gabbana glasses that I've been wanting ever since they came out. Also, I love this location here for my photos and I want to shoot here more, but I don't think the beautiful pink tree over the water will remain that way for long, but fingers crossed it stays beautiful and pink all summer, because this small location is perfectly detailed in a way that doesn't make me feel like I'm in Jacksonville, and that's a good feeling!

Florals + Fringe

My trusty fringe bag and lace-up sandals have been my main go-to items lately as I have been enjoying the more comfortable bohemian look. I really loved them with this beautiful floral dress from Alice's Pig... it's such a great 70s style dress and the Victorian sleeve detailing is just amazing.

I also want to keep it short because I'm insanely tired right now, but I want to apologize for going from setting my little goal of posting about 20 times last month to now only posting 3 times so far this month. I'm getting used to a new schedule for school and a new job, so it's been a stressful few weeks so far and will continue to be through next month as well. I'll make sure to post all of the outfits I've photographed for this month, but I can't promise any type of unique posts. I hate it so badly when I have to put my blog on the back burner because this is truly whats most important in my mind, but unfortunately the world has other things for me to do as well. Hope you enjoy this outfit and the upcoming outfits, though! I will say they are some favorites of mine! :)

Classic Styles -- Modern Cuts

I've been staying away from too many prints and colors and keeping it simple lately. I think this looks so much better and it's a reflection of how my style is evolving. I'm focusing more on the clothes themselves to stand out rather than the prints and colors on the clothes, and it's overall a more mature style for the more mature person I can feel myself becoming.

Talking on the outfit, I just absolutely adore this pairing and just sitting on those steps to take those photos, I got endless compliments from people just passing by. This off-the-shoulder top from Target is the type of style I've been looking for lately, and I'm so glad I held off for a while and purchased this specific top. It looks amazing with just about everything, and it can be dressed up or down. Here I dressed it up with my Little Mistress floral skirt which is flirty and fun but still keeps a sophisticated look.

While I'm still speaking on my look, I also have to give some praise to Irresistible Me and their lovely hair extensions! I'm usually not the kind of girl to spend more than 30 minutes on my hair and makeup, but lately I've been experimenting a bit more and spending a bit more time in front of the mirror every morning. It may not look like it from my photos but I have rather thin hair, so I thought it would be great to try out some extensions. I was nervous about them looking obviously fake or that they would fall out or that my tracks would show since my hair is so thin, but these extensions from Irresistible Me have been absolutely perfect in every way! They match my hair color perfectly, they look natural, and most importantly, they make me feel a lot better about my thin hair. It is important to me to feel good about myself, and while I wouldn't go do anything extreme to change my appearance, it's fun to play around a bit with new things such as these extensions.

Indian Summer

Loose-fitted boho dresses and these Forever 21 lace-up sandals have been my spring (well, summer here) uniform lately! It's been so hot and with my busy schedule of going to both school and work, I don't even want to think about trying to dress up too much. That's another big reason why I love boho style, it looks so effortlessly stylish and put-together, yet it's really comfortable and easy to throw on. I haven't worn heels for quite sometime, and it's almost as if when I do put them on that I have to break them in all over again. Don't get me wrong, heels are the best in my eyes and they're just so much cuter than flat shoes to me, but when I'm walking to my classes and then walking around photographing models at work, heels just wouldn't be the appropriate footwear at all.

My journey to finding stylish yet still comfortable alternatives to fit my current schedule and also beat the heat has been successful thus far, and my closet is now full of boho-inspired dresses that are loose-fitting and perfectly breezy, such as this very lightweight pale pink aztec print dress from Flourish boutique. It's so light and versatile, but I am really loving it with my fringe detail bag from T-Shirt & Jeans and these amazingly cute and comfy sandals from Forever 21. Also, as a little bonus, I'm offering all of my lovely readers to get 25% off your order from Flourish Boutique with code "WALKINTHEPARK".

On another note, I've had these sandals for only around two weeks now and I've been wearing them everyday... they look so great with every outfit and are also very comfortable, all for under $20! Forever 21 is sold out now in this brown color I believe, but they have a gold pair now that I am really thinking about buying, and I really recommend them to you all as well!

Classic Prepster

Today I felt like my own version of Charlotte York in this adorable golf-style knit polo dress! This gorgeous dress from Design History is so unlike anything else I own which is why I love it so much. I can remember hating anything polo-style when I was younger but now I love the classic preppy look of the collars!

I paired this lovely dress with this summery pair of Keds sneakers from the latest Taylor Swift collection, and they are slowly becoming my favorite summer shoe because their eyelet berry print in too cute and also very versatile, these shoes just look great with everything!
